Hello Jammers! Zee here with another scammer I found on a while out watching. A lot of information about scam watching will be covered in this post, so read on and enjoy! 

This is the scammer's player card. The scammer was offering their whole outfit in the scam, which would attract many Jammers in the room. Luckily, many just ignored her.

This was her trade. She was offering very basic items that you can easily obtain as her scamming bait.

This is her preforming her scam. This is a "Best Trade Wins" scam. In this scam, a scammer will put a bait item on trade and the best offer will win. Thing is, in a Best Trade Wins scam, the scammer will usually accept the item and run off without giving you your prize. 

I asked her why she couldn't just trade her items normally and she then claimed she was quitting. If that was so, why would she care about getting the best trade? Why not give your items to your friends, randomly send them away to lucky jammers, or recycle them for gems and then donate the gems to help big cats or to get items for friends?

This is something new to this blog, yet it is not an old scammer trick. This trick is known as the "Alternate Account," often abbreviated by scam watchers as "Alt. Account." It is very easy to spot an Alt. Account. If their name is "New Jammer" and they're scamming, they're most likely an Alt. The easiest way to tell, though, is to look at their achievements. If there are less than 10 and you spot suspicious activity such as scamming, then the scammer is most likely an Alt.

You ask yourself, why do scammers use Alts? What is the purpose of an Alt? An Alt is used by a scammer to keep their main account safe while scamming. They'll often send over items to the Alt. to attract attention and will scam unknowing Jammers. After they scam, they usually send the items back to their main, along with anything they scammed. In "Decline" scams, the Alt. will often be seen scamming. The main player will often be seen with the Alt. trying to convince people that the Alt. will never decline.

Alts are often used by us Scam Watchers, too. We use them in the same ways that scammers do... sort of. We use them to keep our accounts safe. While scam watching on an account, a scammer that's maybe heard of you will never know it's you behind the Alt, so you can scam watch safely. However, Alts are not required for scam watching.
